In this context, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization will develop standards of quality, durability, energy efficiency and disaster resistance and it will control these standards at each stage.
According to Anadolu Agency, within the scope of Transformation of Disaster Risk Areas Law, 240 risk areas in 53 provinces, 152 urban transformation and development project areas in 30 provinces, and 10 renovation areas in 7 provinces were determined, Resulting in 46 thousand hectares to be used to build new high quality, and efficient real estate projects.
During the rise of new residential areas, the ministry partnered with 1292 organizations
The Ministry of Environment and Urbanization used 1292 organizations and institutions, including public institutions, non-governmental organizations, universities, legal entities, building supervision organizations and building laboratories to identify risky structures. Old buildings, mostly those built before the 1999 earthquake that killed thousands of people in western Turkey, are gradually being demolished and property owners are relocated to new buildings as part of the project.
Since the establishment of the Special Account for Urban Transformation Projects in 2012, approximately 12 billion 752 million TL have been paid, mainly for corporate and individual rent assistance, interest support, expropriation, and urban transformation procedures.
