Residence Permit & Fees 2021

On January.4th 2021, the Immigration Department in Turkey has issued a new list regarding the residence permit fees.

In this article, we will just talk about Real Estate and Tourist Residence permits

Any person who wants to submit a request for a Residence Permit must have the following documents:

  1. Passport copy
  2. Last entry stamp
  3. Insurance
  4. Tapu copy
  5. Tapu Aktif Kaydi from the Municipality
  6. Numara Taj from Land Department
  7. Dask which is the earthquake insurance for the property
  8. Tax Number
  9. 4 biometric pictures
  10. Receipt for each fee payment

If you are applying for a Tourist Residence permit, the documents requested in points 4, 5, 6 & 7 will be replaced by a Notarized Rental Contract

What are the fixed fees for Residence Permit?

  1. Card Printing Fee: 125 TL
  2. The İkamet Harç Bedeli (Residence Permit Processing Fee) is charged according to nationality. Children under age 18 get a 50% discount on the Residence Permit Processing Fee.

The fees are calculated automatically by the system used by the Immigration Department, and it can vary from 600 to 1060 TL depending on Nationality

  • Turkey has visa-free entry agreements with various countries. These visa-free entry agreements only apply to entering the country for tourism. Whenever you decide to get a Residence Permit, you’ll have to pay a one-time Tek Giriş Harcı (Single-entry Fee). The one time visa fee is ₺758.90
  • Insurance: to get the Permit, you will need to have a valid insurance covering your stay in Turkey. All of the health insurance policies for residence permits cover the same minimum government requirements. Prices differ from company to another, but usually they vary between 250 and 750 TL depending on age
  • Dask or Earthquake’s Insurance is mandatory and it various depending on the size of the property, in media it is between 250 and 350 TL
  • Tapu Aktif Kaydi from the Municipality and Numara Taj from Land Department, these can be issued by the respective authorities with a simple free request from the owner, but his presence is a must
  • Tax Number: you can get it from any Tax Office in your area, free of charge
  • 4 biometric photos: 25 TL

Residence Permit Process

  1. Filling out an online application form with all details regarding the passport, address, contacts, date of entry etc…
  2. Once you got the confirmation and the interview date, you will have to prepare all the requested papers as mentioned before, pay all the taxes and insurance (the time to get the confirmation varies from 3 days up to 10 days, depending on the appointments availability)
  3. The day fixed for the interview, you will have to be there on time with a file containing all the requested documentation, and it will be good if you make a copy of the file. You will not need a translator there, usually there are people who speaks Arabic and English
  4. Once you finish your interview, your work is done, and you will receive your Residence Permit to the address you mentioned in the application, usually it takes few days
